THE MISSION OF LANP SHALL BE TO SERVE AS LOUISIANA'S LEAD NURSE PRACTITIONER ORGANIZATION IN CONTINUING EDUCATION, MEMBERSHIP RESOURCES, STATE AND FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE EFFORTS AND TO PROMOTE A COMMUNITY COMMITMENT OF EXCELLENCE IN NURSE PRACTITIONER PRACTICE.

THE PURPOSE OF LANP IS TO ADVANCE, SUPPORT, AND PROMOTE THE ROLES OF NURSE PRACTITIONERS AND PROMOTE ACCESSIBLE QUALITY HEALTH CARE BY NURSE PRACTITIONERS. THE GOALS OF LANP ARE TO MARKET THE NURSE PRACTITIONER ROLES AND ENHANCE THEIR IMAGE, AFFECT LEGISLATION CONCERNING NURSE PRACTIONERS, ACT AS A RESOURCE GROUP FOR NURSE PRACTIONERS, PROMOTE COMMUNICATION AND NETWORKING AMONGST NURSE PRACTIONERS, ESTABLISH CHANNELS FOR COMMUNICATION AND COOPERATION WITH OTHER GROUPS WHO SHARE, SUPPORT, OR COMPLEMENT THE PURPOSES OF LANP, AND PROVIDE A FORUM FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION AND RESEARCH PROGRAMS FOR NURSE PRACTIONERS.
