THE UNION HELPS TO IMPROVE WAGES, HOURS, & WORKING CONDITIONS BY REPRESENTING MEMBERS IN GRIEVANCE PROCEDURES, ARBITRATION & CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS. THESE BENEFITS WERE AVAILABLE TO 4,885 MEMBERS.


ORGANIZING EFFORTS RESULT IN NEW BARGANING UNITS, WHICH HELP TO PROMOTE THE PRINCIPLE OF FREE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING, AND TO STRENGTHEN THE UNION'S NUMBERS TO HELP ACHIEVE THE RESULTS IN 4(A) ABOVE.


THE UNION ASSISTS MEMBERS WITH VARIOUS BENEFIT PROGRAMS. THESE BENEFITS INCLUDE A PENSION PLAN AND A HEALTH & WELFARE INSURANCE PLAN THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO UNION MEMBERS.
