THE SUMMER HEALTH INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (SHIP) PLACES HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS IN SIX-WEEK PLACEMENTS THROUGH A NETWORK OF MORE THAN TWENTY HOSPITALS, NURSING AND REHABILITATION CENTERS AND COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS. ONCE A WEEK, STUDENTS ATTEND WORKSHOP SESSIONS AND PARTICIPATE IN PRESENTATIONS BY DIVERSE HEALTH PROFESSIONALS.THE MEDICAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCE AND HEALTH (M.A.S.H.) CAMP GIVES STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO SPEND A HALF-DAY AT A HOSPITAL OR HEALTH PROFESSION LEARNING INSTITUTION TO LEARN ABOUT HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONS THROUGH HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES AND PRESENTATIONS.
