TO REDUCE THE PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, AND FINANCIAL HARM CAUSED BY UNRESOLVED CONFLICT, LITIGATION, AND INCARCERATION BY PROVIDING MEDIATION, SENTENCING SERVICES, AND OTHER RESTORATIVE PROCESSES THAT INCREASE THE RESPECT, PEACE, PRODUCTIVITY, AND SAFETY IN THE COMMUNITIES SERVED.

PROVIDE MEDIATION AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO VIOLENCE OR ACTION IN COURT. THE CENTER RECEIVED REFERRALS FROM THE PUBLIC, COURTS, AND OTHERS.


DRUG TREATMENT COURT PROGRAM: PROVIDE MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION OF WATAUGA AND AVERY NC DRUG TREATMENT COURT PROGRAMS. A COURT SUPERVISED, POST-SENTENCE TREATMENT PROGRAM FOR NON-VIOLENT OFFENDERS WHO WANT TO HELP AND WHOSE CHARGES ARE RELATED TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES REGULAR DRUG TESTING, INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP COUNSELING, AND REGULAR ATTENDANCE AT TWELVE-STEP MEETINGS


DIVERSION PROGRAMS: SERVICES INCLUDE LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTED DIVERSION (LEAD) AND RECOVERY ON THE INSIDE, WHICH PROVIDE RECOVERY SUPPORT, TREATMENT LINKAGES, COMMUNITY OUTREACH, AND CASE MANAGEMENT FOR INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED WITH OR AT RISK OF INVOLVEMENT WITH THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM.
