THE BUY HAYWOOD MARKET DEVELOPMENT PROJECT IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT HAYWOOD COUNTY FARMERS BY PROMOTING HIGH-QUALITY FARM PRODUCTS TO COMMUNITY-MINDED CONSUMERS. THE PROJECT WAS STARTED BY THE HAYWOOD COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BOARD. THEY HAVE DEVELOPED A WEB-SITE, FARM MAP AND A "HAYWOOD COUNTY-NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAIN GROWN" LABEL AND LOGO TO IDENTIFY FARM PRODUCTS BEING MARKETED UNDER THIS PROJECT. THE PROJECT HAS HIGHLIGHTED 37 FARMS AND 28 RESTAURANTS AFFILIATED WITH THIS PROGRAM.
