HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE CARE - NURSING AND POST ACUTE MEDICAL CARE PROVIDED IN AN INPATIENT FACILITY OR IN AN OUTPATIENT SETTING FOR TERMINALLY ILL PATIENTS PALLIATIVE CARE IS A MEDICAL SPECIAL TY WHICH PROVIDES CARE FOCUSED ON THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE WHO ARE LIVING WITH SERIOUS, OFTEN CHRONIC ILLNESS SUPPORT IS ALSO GIVEN TO FAMILY MEMBERS.HOME CARE - THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES IN-HOME SERVICES TO PATIENTS CUSTOMIZED TO FIT THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF EACH INDIVIDUAL IN-HOME SERVICES AVAILABLE INCLUDE PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANCE, MEDICATION ASSISTANCE, EXERCISE ASSISTANCE, CREATION AND MONITORING OF SPECIALIZED DIETS, MEAL PLANNING AND PREPARATION, MUSIC AND EXERCISE THERAPY, COMPANIONSHIP, DEMENTIA CARE, ALZHEIMER'S CARE, AND END-OF-LIFE CARE, AMONG OTHER TYPES OF ASSISTANCE REQUIRED BY PATIENTS THE CLINICAL RESEARCH DEPARTMENT WAS FOUNDED IN 2005 AND IS A WAY TO ENHANCE THE SERVICES HOSPICE PROVIDES TO THE RESIDENTS OF HENDERSON COUNTY AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES THROUGH CLINICAL RESEARCH, HOSPICE HAS THE ABILITY TO PROVIDE MEDICATIONS AND/OR SERVICES THAT MIGHT OTHERWISE NOT BE AVAILABLE.
