BY THE END OF FY 22-23, THE PERMANENT EXHIBIT DEPICTING ORANGE COUNTY HISTORY FROM PREHISTORY THROUGH THE 20TH CENTURY HAD BEEN REFRESHED WITH NEW ARTIFACTS AND INFORMATION AND THE NEW SPECIAL EXHIBIT TREASURE HUNTER'S WAS INSTALLED. MONTHLY PROGRAMMING COMPLEMENTS AND ENHANCES THESE EXHIBITS. THESE INCLUDE TRADITIONAL LECTURE STYLE TALKS ON LOCAL HISTORY TOPICS AND MORE INTERACTIVE EVENTS SUCH AS HISTORIC FOOD AND COCKTAIL TASTING. FREE TOURS OF THE EXHIBITS FOR INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS ARE OFFERED DAILY. THE CHAPEL HILL HISTORICAL SOCIETY INSTALLED THE SECOND PART OF THEIR EXHIBIT AS PART OF OUR CONTINUED PARTNERSHIP. THE MUSEUM PARTICIPATED IN A VARIETY OF COLLABORATIVE EVENTS WITH ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT THE TOWN AND COUNTY, INCLUDING MERCHANT TRICK-OR-TREATING, THE HILLSBOROUGH HOLIDAY PARADE AND WREATH WALK, REVOLUTIONARY WAR LIVING HISTORY DAY, AND HISTORIC HILLSBOROUGH EXCURSION DAY. ADDITIONALLY, IN FY 22-23 WE EXPANDED OUR EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS FOR CHILDREN, HOSTING A NUMBER OF FIELD TRIPS FOR LOCAL SCHOOLS, AND ENHANCING OUR HANDS ON CHILDREN'S GALLERY. THROUGH OUR VARIOUS PROGRAMING, FIELD TRIPS, TOURS, AND DAILY VISITORS, THE MUSEUM SERVED A TOTAL OF 3,104 INDIVIDUALS IN FY 22-23.
