THE WILDERNESS ROAD MUSEUM IS OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE NEW RIVER HISTORICAL SOCIETY. THE MISSION OF THE MUSEUM IS TWO FOLD: (1) TO COLLECT, PRESERVE AND DISPLAY MATERIALS RELATING TO THE HISTORY OF VIRGINIA'S NEW RIVER VALLEY AND (2) TO EDUCATE CITIZENS ABOUT THE REGION'S HISTORY.
