THE COSMOS CLUB FOUNDATIONS YOUNG SCHOLARS GRANT PROGRAM PROVIDES GRANTS TO GRADUATE STUDENTS AT LOCAL WASHINGTON-AREA UNIVERSITIES TO MEET UNEXPECTED AND OTHERWISE UNSUPPORTED ASPECTS OF THEIR RESEARCH. GAVE 101700 IN GRANTS TO 26 INDIVIDUAL SCHOLARS, AND 25000 TO DC PUBLIC EDUCATION FUND. GAVE COSMOS CLUB AWAURD WORTH 1100. THE COSMOS CLUB AWARD IS PRESENTED ANNUALLY TO A SELECTED INDIVIDUAL OF NATIONAL OR INTERNATIONAL STANDING IN A FIELD OF SCIENCE, LITERATURE, THEFINE ARTS, OTHER LEARNED PROFESSIONS OR PUBLIC SERVICE. THE JOHN P. MCGOVERN AWARD IS AWARDED TO SELECTED INDIVIDUALS WHOSEENDEAVORS HAVE CLEARLY DISTINGUISHED THEM AS LEADERS IN THEIR SPHERES OFACTIVITY.
