THE ADVOCACY PROJECT SUPPORTS COMMUNITY BASED INITIATIVES FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND PEACE IN THE GLOBAL SOUTH THROUGH RESEARCH, FUNDRAISING,AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT.

THE ADVOCACY PROJECT OFFERED YEAR-ROUND SUPPORT TO VULNERABLE COMMUNITES IN THE GLOBAL SOUTH. WE INVESTED IN FOUR START-UPS IN KENYA, MALI AND THE U.S., AND LAUNCHED A COMMUNITY-LED CAMPAIGN TO VACCINATE TRIBAL PEOPLE AGAINST COVID-19 IN INDIA. WE ALSO FUNDED LONGER-TERM PROGRAMS IN SUPPORT OF PARTNERS IN ZIMBABWE, UGANDA, KENYA, BANGLADESH AND NEPAL. FINALLY, WE HELPED ALL OF OUR PARTNERS TO TELL THEIR STORIES THROUGH EMBROIDERY AND ADVOCACY QUILTS. THIS INCLUDED COMMISSIONING 214 INDIVIDUAL STORIES ABOUT THE PANEMIC FROM SIX COUNTRIES.
