NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION: HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF CARROLL COUNTY BUILDS AND REHABILITATES NEW HOMES FOR LOWER INCOME FAMILIES IN CARROLL COUNTY USING VOLUNTEER LABOR AND SELLS THE HOMES TO PARTNER FAMILIES WITH ZERO PERCENT INTEREST LOANS. THE FAMILIES MUST DEMONSTRATE NEED, A WILLINGNESS TO PARTNER BY CONTRIBUTING SWEAT EQUITY, AND MUST DEMONSTRATE ABILITY TO REPAY THE ZERO PERCENT INTEREST LOAN. THE ORGANIZATION DID NOT HAVE ANY NEW CONSTRUCTION DURING FISCAL YEAR 2020.
MORTGAGE SERVICING AND HOMEOWNER SUPPORT: HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF CARROLL COUNTY SERVICES THE NEW CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR PROGRAM LOANS CREATED THROUGH THE SERVICE OF ITS MISSION. RESTORE: HOME IMPROVEMENT STORES AND DONATION CENTERS THAT SELL NEW AND GENTLY USED FURNITURE, APPLIANCES, HOME ACCESSORIES, BUILDING MATERIALS, AND MORE TO THE PUBLIC AT A FRACTION OF THE RETAIL PRICE. PROCEEDS FROM THE STORE WILL BE USED TO HELP BUILD STRENGTH, STABILITY, SELF-RELIANCE AND SHELTER IN CARROLL COUNTY. THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE STORE WAS COMPLETED IN 2021.
CRITICAL HOME REPAIR PROGRAM: HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF CARROLL COUNTY ASSISTS LOW INCOME FAMILIES IN MAKING CRITICAL HOME REPAIRS THAT ARE ESSENTIAL FOR MAINTAINING ASAFE LIVING ENVIRONMENT. THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM IS GEARED TOWARD VETERANS AND SENIOR CITIZENS, OFFERING THEM THE ABILITY TO AGE IN PLACE. SAFELY. FEES FOR THIS SERVICE IS MINIMUM AND BASED ON A SLIDING SCALE RELATIVE TO INCOME.
