STATE ADVOCACY PROGRAM PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR THE SPTA GRANT PROGRAM AND ACTIVITIES OF THE COUNCIL OF EXECUTIVES OF STATE AND PROVINCIAL PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATIONS (CESPPA) INCLUDING ITS ACTIVITIES AT THE ANNUAL CONVENTION. IT INCLUDES AN ALLOTMENT FOR EMERGENCY GRANTS, ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT GRANTS AND LEGISLATIVE GRANTS.
THE LEGAL & REGULATORY AFFAIRS PROGRAM WORKS ON LEGAL AND REGULATORY ISSUES TO ADVANCE AND PROTECT THE PRACTICE OF PSYCHOLOGY AND THE ABILITY OF PSYCHOLOGISTS TO WORK AT THE TOP OF THEIR LICENSE. SPECIFIC ISSUES INCLUDE MENTAL HEALTH PARITY COMPLIANCE AND ENFORCEMENT, INSURANCE COMPANY PRACTICES INCLUDING REIMBURSEMENT, AND PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE IN INTEGRATED CARE AND INNOVATIVE PRACTICE SETTINGS.
