TO ENHANCE THE CAREERS OF INDIVIDUALS IN INTERNATIONAL TRADE BY OFFERING A BROAD RANGE OF SUBSTANTIVE PROGRAMS PERTAINING TO BOTH POLICY AND TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF TRADE; PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES AIMED AT ADDRESSING THE CHALLENGES OF CAREER ADVANCEMENT AT ALL LEVELS, BOTH IN THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS; UNDERTAKE INITIATIVES AIMED AT ENCOURAGING EMPLOYMENT, PARTICULARLY OF WOMEN IN INTERNATIONAL TRADE; ENHANCE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF INTERNATIONAL COMMERCE; AND PROMOTE COMMON CAUSE AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AMONG INDIVIDUALS EMPLOYED IN INTERNATIONAL TRADE.

THE ASSOCIATION OFFERS SEVERAL EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, INCLUDING AN ANNUAL DINNER AND WINTER RECEPTION, AS WELL AS BRIEFINGS ON CURRENT TRADE TOPICS AND TRENDS (TRADE TALKS). THE ASSOCIATION PUTS ITS MEMBERS IN TOUCH WITH AND BUSINESS LEADERS SHAPING INTERNATIONAL COMMERCE TODAY. DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, SOME OF THIS PROGRAMMING WAS VIRTUAL IN 2021.
