RESEARCH: CONDUCTS RESEARCH ON THE HISTORY OF THE LOCAL PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION FOR-HIRE INDUSTRY AND ON ISSUES OF INTEREST TO, AND FOR THE BETTERMENT OF, THE LOCAL PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION FOR-HIRE INDUSTRY.
SCHOLARSHIP:AN ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP IS PRESENTED TO AN INDUSTRY WORKER OR THE CHILD OF AN INDUSTRY WORKER AT EACH ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING OF THE FOUNDATION.
TRANSPORTATION:THE TRANSPORTATION ON PATROL (TOP) PROGRAM PROVIDES PUBLIC SAFETY AUTHORITIES WITH LOCAL PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION FOR-HIRE DRIVERS WATCHING FOR AND REPORTING INCIDENTS TO ENHANCE PUBLIC SAFETY. THE NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM ASSISTS WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF AMERICAN NATIONAL STANDARDS INSTITUTE (ANSI) APPROVED NATIONAL STANDARDS FOR NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION DRIVERS AND FLEETS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE US.
