THE HAMPTON NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE IS A PRESERVED 18TH-CENTURY PLANTATION FEATURING HAMPTON MANSION, A FINE EXAMPLE OF GEORGIAN ARCHITECTURE WITH ORIGINAL PERIOD FURNISHINGS & FORMAL GARDENS, OUTBUILDINGS, AND EXISTING SLAVE QUARTERS. HISTORIC HAMPTON INCORPORATED (HHI) HELPS PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HISTORICALLY VALUABLE PROPERTY AND ITS CONTENTS, AND HAVE SUPPORTED NATIONAL PARK SERIVICE PROGRAMS AT THE SITE. HHI VOLUNTEER CORPS IS BROAD IN NUMBER AND INTERESTS: ARCHITECTURE, HORTICULTURE, ANTIQUE FURNITURE, ARTWORK AND CHINA COLLECTIONS, ARCHIVES OF PHOTOGRAPHS, DIARIES, LETTERS, AND MORE.
