REHOBOTH BEACH MAIN STREET (RBMS) IS INEXTRICABLY LINKED TO THE OUTSTANDING SEASHORE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE SUSTAINABILITY OF ITS LOCAL ECONOMY AND QUALITY OF LIFE. WITH THE DESIRE TO PROMOTE A COMMUNITY THAT IS SUSTAINABLE IN THE CONTEXT OF LOCAL ECONOMY, ENVIRONMENT, AND QUALITY OF LIFE, THE RBMS MISSION IS TO PROMOTE DOWNTOWN REHOBOTH BEACH AS A YEAR- ROUND DESTINATION WITH A VIBRANT COMMERCIAL AREA, A FULL CALENDAR OF LOCAL EVENTS, AND ECONOMIC PROGRAMS BENEFITTING THE BUSINESSES AND RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY.
IN 2019, RBMS ESTABLISHED A NEW PROGRAM,REHOBOTH IN BLOOM/RIB, WITH THE FOLLOWING 3 GOALS: (1) THE BEAUTIFICATION OF DOWNTOWN REHOBOTH BEACH (2) MAKING DOWNTOWN MORE PEDESTRIAN-FRIENDLY AND (3) FOSTERING A COMMUNITY SPIRIT WITH RESIDENTS AND COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS. TO THIS END, RIB WORKS TO PROMOTE LOCAL DOWNTOWN BEAUTIFICATION AND COMMUNITY SPIRIT AND INVOLVEMENT.
