THE DELIVERING RESOURCES THROUGH INFRASTRUCTURE TO THE NEEDIEST CITIZENS (DRINC) PROGRAM DEVELOPED A WHITE PAPER ON ACCESS TO WATER AS WELL AS THE METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH FOR MEASURING WATER ACCESS IN THE UNITED STATES IN THE AMERICAN WATER ACCESS SURVEY (AWAS), INCLUDING HOUSEHOLD AND UTILITY SURVEYS AND REVIEWS. THIS WORK ALSO INCLUDES THE FIRST-EVER COMMUNITY TASK FORCE FOR WATER EQUITY, WHICH BRINGS TOGETHER COMMUNITY LEADERS ON WATER FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO CREATE GUIDELINES FOR ACCESS TO WATER LEGISLATION APPLICABLE TO EVERY COMMUNITY.


THE BUILDING LEGAL UNDERSTANDING AND ENGAGEMENT (BLUE) PHONE PROGRAM PROVIDED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND EDUCATION ON WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, INTERNATIONAL WATER LAW, INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL LAW, HUMAN RIGHTS, INTERNATIONAL WATER DIPLOMACY, AND WATER AND SANITATION LAW IN COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD, INCLUDING IN SENEGAL, ZAMBIA, EL SALVADOR, AND SOUTH SUDAN.


THE INTERNATIONAL WATER SECURITY CHALLENGE (IWSC) ENCOMPASSES THE CWSC'S WORK ON SETTING INTERNATIONAL LEGAL BENCHMARKS FOR WATER SECURITY, INCLUDING THE RENEWAL PLATFORM WHICH FOCUSES ON WATER LAW ACROSS AFRICA. THE IWSC ALSO INCLUDES RESEARCH INTO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE HUMAN RIGHT TO WATER IN DOMESTIC LEGAL SYSTEMS, AND ASSOCIATED WORK ON STANDARDS, WATER MARKETS, AND OTHER MEANS TO ACHIEVE WATER SECURITY. ALSO INCLUDED IN THE IWSC ARE EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES THAT ENCOURAGE UNDERSTANDING OF THE RULE OF LAW IN WATER SECURITY.
