PROMOTED A POSITIVE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMIC, SOCIETAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS OF A MODERN AND WELL MAINTAINED PORTS AND INLAND NAVIGATION SYSTEM. THE ORGANIZATION'S COMMUNICATION PLAN INCLUDED NEWSPAPER AND MAGAZINE ARTICLES, COMMENTARIES AND OP-EDS, PRESS RELEASES, AND VIDEOS.


HELD AN ANNUAL MEETING TO INFORM AND EDUCATE MEMBERS AND OTHERS REGARDING NEW AND UPCOMING LEGISLATION AFFECTING THE INDUSTRY. APPROXIMATELY 175 MEMBERS AND ORGANIZATION STAFF ATTENDED THE MEETING. THE ANNUAL MEETING INCLUDED PRESENTATIONS ON VARIOUS TOPICS IMPORTANT TO THE INDUSTRY.
