OUR SISTER ORGANIZATION IN PERU BECAME A RECOGNIZED RESCUE CENTER WITH THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF PERMITTING - THE FIRST IN PERU TO SPECIALIZE IN CARNIVORES. SINCE LATE 2020 WE'VE HELPED THE RESCUE AND REHABILITATION OF OVER 100 WILD ANIMALS AND MAINTAINED A 97% REINTRODUCTION SUCCESS RATE. THE NEWLY BUILT CENTER WE HELPED BUILD IS NATURALLY INTEGRATED INTO THE RAINFOREST AND POWERED BY RENEWABLE ENERGY AND INNOVATIVE SUSTAINABILITY SYSTEMS. WE'VE CREATED NOVEL METHODS FOR THE REHABILITATION OF THREATENED AND KEYSTONE SPECIES THAT INCREASE REINTRODUCTION SUCCESS. WE'VE BEEN INSTRUMENTAL IN SHUTTING DOWN SEVERAL ILLEGAL ZOOS AND TRAFFICKING OPERATIONS IN CONJUNCTION WITH LOCAL AND FEDERAL AUTHORITIES. WE ARE CURRENTLY PROTECTING OVER 3000 HECTARES OF PRIMARY RAINFOREST. WE HAVE HELPED TO CREATE DOZENS OF LOCAL JOB OPPORTUNITIES, STIMULATING A CONSERVATION-BASED ECONOMY IN LAS PIEDRAS. WE HAVE ASSISTED DOZENS OF LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN THEIR STUDIES AND TO GAIN PRACTICAL CONSERVATION EXPERIENCE, SUPPORTING THE NEXT GENERATION OF CONSERVATIONISTS. WE'VE SUPPORTED THE ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR A DOG/CAT RESCUE CENTER IN MADRE DE DIOS, THAT WILL FOCUS ON SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAMS AND DISEASE PREVENTION.
