VICKSBURG HOUSING MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT TO CITIZENS OF WARREN COUNTY AND THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI THAT QUALIFY AS LOW-TO-MODERATE INCOME. INCLUDED IN THAT PURPOSE IS THE PROMOTION OF THE UNDERSTANDING OF AN CRITICAL NEED FOR SAFE AND SANITARY HOURSIN; ENCOURAGING SCHOLARSHIP AND RESEARCH; STIMULATING EFFECTIVE INSTRUCTION; PROMOTING PUBLICATIONS IN THE FIELD OF LOW INCOME AND PUBLIC HOUSING; SERVING THE PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS OF MEMBERS ORGANIZATIONS, BOTH LOCALLY AND NATIONALLY; FOSTERING COMMUNICATION AND EXCHANGE AMOUNG GOVERNMENTAL BODIES AND SCHOLARS AND ENHANCING THE PUBLIC'S UNDERSTANDING OF HOUSING.
