NORTH BRIDGE ACADEMY IS A NON-PROFIT SCHOOL WITH THE MISSION TO EDUCATE HIGH FUNCTIONING DYSLEXIC CHILDREN.

THE SCHOOL PROVIDED SPECIALIZED INSTRUCTION BY TEACHERS WITH SPECIALIZED TRAINING FOR CHILDREN, GRADES 2 THROUGH 8 THAT STRUGGLE WITH READING AND WRITING. THE SCHOOL USES METHODOLOGIES THAT ALIGN WITH RESEARCH-BASED PRACTICES THAT ARE SHOWN TO BE EFFECTIVE WITH CHILDREN WITH LANGUAGE-BASED LEARNING DIFFERENCES, SUCH AS DYSLEXIA. OUR SCHOOL BELIEVES THAT NOT ONLY SHOULD STUDENTS' CHALLENGES BE REMEDIATED BUT THEIR STRENGTHS IDENTIFIED. TO THAT END, WE OFFER MUSIC, ART, STEM, OUTDOOR EDUCATION, COOKING AND GARDENING. TYPICALLY AFTER 3 YEARS (APPROXIMATELY), STUDENTS' CHALLENGES ARE REMEDIATED AND THEY ARE PREPARED FOR SUCCESS IN MAINSTREAM SCHOOLS. WE HOST A SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES INTERVENTION IN THE MORNING AND STRENGTH-BASED ACTIVITIES IN THE AFTERNOON.
