Part 3 - Line 1

NORTHWEST DOG PROJECT RESCUES, RE-HOMES, AND ENHANCES THE LIVES OF NEGLECTED, ABUSED AND HOMELESS DOGS (AND NOW SOME CATS AND PIGS), WHILE ADVOCATING RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP AND ASSISTING THE COMMUNITY WITH SPAY/NEUTER SERVICES. WE WELCOME MEDICALLY CHALLENGED ANIMALS AND PROVIDE A NURTURING FOREVER SANCTUARY TO SENIORS WHO HAVE BEEN ABANDONED IN THEIR GOLDEN YEARS.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

NORTHWEST DOG PROJECT (NWDP) RESCUED 135 DOGS AND ADOPTED 129 IN 2022, COMPARED TO 91 RESCUES AND 89 ADOPTIONS IN 2021. WE CONTINUE TO TAKE IN DOGS THAT OFTEN NEED EXTENSIVE MEDICAL CARE, AND PRIDE OURSELVES ON THE QUALITY OF MEDICAL CARE WE PROVIDE OUR DOGS WITH. OUR TRAINING EXPENSES HAVE SIGNIFICANTLY GROWN OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, AS WE FEEL THERE IS GREAT IMPORTANCE IN MAKING SURE ALL DOGS IN OUR CARE ARE PROVIDED WITH PROPER TRAINING TO ENSURE THEY JOIN THEIR NEW FAMILIES, AND ENTER INTO THE COMMUNITY AS GOOD CANINE CITIZENS. AS WELL AS RESCUING 135 DOGS, WE ALSO HELPED NUMEROUS DOGS STAY IN THEIR HOMES WITH OUR COMMUNITY SUPPORT EFFORTS, BY OFFERING ASSISTANCE WITH BOTH TRAINING AND MEDICAL CARE.

NWDP CONTINUED ITS SENIOR PROGRAM WITH 31 SENIOR DOGS RESCUED, 25 ADOPTED, AND 5 DECEASED, AND 1 REMAINING IN OUR SANCTUARY PROGRAM.

WE CONTINUE TO OFFER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES NEEDING SUPPORT WITH MEDICAL BILLS SUCH AS EMERGENCY SURGERIES, AND SPAY/NEUTER SERVICES. WE ALSO PROVIDED $16,729 IN FINANCING FOR FREE SPAY & NEUTER CLINICS FOR 2022. OUR OTHER COMMUNITY OUTREACH EFFORTS INCLUDE FOOD DONATIONS, VACCINE ASSISTANCE, AND EDUCATIONAL EFFORTS.
