: LA HEALTH FOUNDATION ESTABLISHED THE HEALTH SCHOLARS PROGRAM ("HSP") A NUMBER OF YEARS AGO TO PROVIDE INNOVATIVE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION SERVICES THAT LINK HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS WITH A PIPELINE OF HEALTH PROFESSIONALS. THE TAILORED AND COST- EFFECTIVE WORKFORCE PIPELINE STRATEGIES REDUCE NEW-HIRE TURNOVER RATES, CULTIVATE A QUALIFIED WORKFORCE THAT IS REFLECTIVE OF THE COMMUNITY AND BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN ACADEMIC TRAINING AND HEALTH PRACTICE. THE FOUNDATION SOLD THE HSP DURING THE YEAR ENDED 6/30/20 BUT HAS RETAINED HSP PROJECTS WHICH ARE BEING IMPLEMENTED UTILIZING THE RESOURCES OF THE PURCHASED UNDER AN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES AGREEMENT.
