THE MISSION OF FAMILY PROMISE OF FORSYTH COUNTY IS TO EMPOWER AND ASSIST FAMILIES EXPERIENCING OR FACING HOMELESSNESS OR HOUSING INSECURITY TO ACHIEVE LONG-TERM STABILITY THROUGH A COMMUNITY-BASED RESPONSE. OUR CORE VALUES OF ENGAGING OUR COMMUNITY, BEING IMPACTFUL, UTILIZING WISE STEWARDSHIP, TREATING INDIVIDUALS WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY, AND BEING UNIQUE DIRECT OUR FOCUS AND THE DIRECTION OF THE WAY WE SERVE OUR COMMUNITY.

IN 2021, FAMILY PROMISE OF FORSYTH COUNTY DIVERSIFIED ITS SERVICES TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO MORE FAMILIES. BY BEGINNING COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES, THE ORGANIZATION WAS NO LONGER LIMITED TO ONLY SERVING THE SMALLER NUMBER OF FAMILIES WHICH THE RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM COULD ACCOMMODATE. THE NEW SERVICES OPENED UP OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK WITH FAMILIES WHO WERE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS AND ALSO TO BEGIN WORKING ON PREVENTING HOMELESSNESS.
