THE MISSION OF THE VOLUSIA/FLAGLER COUNTY COALITION FOR THE HOMELESS IS TO COORDINATE RESOURCES TO ASSIST FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS OR CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS TO MAINTAIN OR REGAIN SELF-SUFFICIENCY.

CONTINUUM OF CARE - THE ORGANIZATION EXISTS TO PROVIDE THE ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTION OF SURVEYING NEEDS, ASSESSING SERVICES PROVIDED BY AGENCIES, PREPARATION OF GRANT APPLICATIONS, FORMULATION OF STRATEGIES TO ELIMINATE DUPLICATION OF SERVICES, FILL IN GAPS OF SERVICES, FACILITATE OVERALL THE PROVISION OF SHELTER AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES THAT MEET THE NEEDS OF HOMELESS PERSONS.
