DURING THE 2019 PROGRAM YEAR, CFA'S FARM-SCHOOL NETWORK PROGRAM HAD THE FOLLOWING PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS 1. 10,000 POUNDS OF FRESH, LOCALLY GROWN PRODUCE WERE GROWN AND DISTRIBUTED WITHIN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND PROVIDED TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES THROUGH A SYSTEM OF FOOD PANTRIES, NO-COST/LOW-COST GROCERY DISTRIBUTIONS, AND A SEASONAL FARMERS' MARKET. 2. 3000 CHILDREN AGES 5 -18 YEARS LEARNED ABOUT WHERE THEIR FOOD COMES FROM AND HOW TO GROW HEALTHY FOOD THROUGH 5 SCHOOLS PARTICIPATING IN THE FARM-SCHOOL NETWORK. 3. 250 YOUTH PARTICIPATED IN SERVICE-LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES IN THE FARM PROGRAM AND DEMONSTRATED INCREASED KNOWLEDGE ABOUT GROWING FOOD AND NUTRITION.
