READING OWLS INTERNATIONAL IS COMMITTED TO INCREASING THE LITERACY LEVELS OF JAMAICAN SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN. WE PROVIDE BOOKS AND LEARNING RESOURCES AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO EXPAND EXISTING LIBRARIES OR TO CREATE NEW ONES.

SUMMER 2021 BACKPACK FOR HOPE, GIVING TUESDAY & TECHNOLOGY. FOR THE BACKPACK AND HOPE PROJECT, READING OWLS PROVIDED BACKPACKS FOR MORE THAN 600 STUDENTS WITH CULTURALLY RELEVANT BOOKS, AGE APPROPRIATE PLAY ACTIVITY TOYS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO LAST THEM FOR A YEAR.FOR THE TECHNOLOGY, READING OWLS INTERNATIONAL PROVIDED 215 TABLETS AND SUPPLEMENTAL RESOURCES TO SUPPORT REMOTE LEARNING AT 5 SCHOOLS ACROSS JAMAICA.
