THE SAVANNA INSTITUTE EXPLORES THE POTENTIAL OF DIVERSE WOODY CROPPING SYSTEMS TO BECOME ECOLOGICALLY SOUND, AGRICULTURALLY PRODUCTIVE, AND ECONOMICALLY VIABLE ALTERNATIVES TO THE CORN-SOYBEAN ROTATION THAT CURRENTLY DOMINATES MIDWESTERN AGRICULTURE. THE SAVANNA INSTITUTE ALSO FACILITATES KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT OF FARMERS, LANDOWNERS, AND OTHER AGRICULTURAL STAKEHOLDERS AROUND PERENNIAL AGRICULTURE AND EDUCATES THE GENERAL PUBLIC ABOUT THE ECOLOGICAL AND ECONOMIC BENEFITS OF PERENNIAL AGRICULTURE.
