SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS NETWORK - SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS NETWORK IS A LEARNING COMMUNITY COMPOSED OF BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS WHO CARE ABOUT PEOPLE, THE PLANET, AND PROFIT. VIA THIS NETWORK, SUSTAIN DANE SHARES NEW SKILLS AND STRATEGIES, RESEARCH FINDINGS, AND LOCAL CASE STUDIES, THROUGH QUARTERLY BREAKFAST MEETINGS, MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS, NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES, AND ONLINE RESOURCES. SBN ALSO INCLUDES SUSTAIN DANE'S SUSTAINABILITY STORIES PLATFORM, WHICH AMPLIFIES THE VOICES OF PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS, RACES, AGES, GENDERS AND GEOGRAPHIES THAT ARE WORKING ON AND WANT TO INSPIRE OTHERS TO BUILD A MORE SUSTAINABLE AND INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY. NATURALLY OCCURRING AFFORDABLE HOUSING (NOAH) - THROUGH OUR NOAH PROJECT, WE ENGAGE WITH AGENCY STAKEHOLDERS, PROPERTY OWNERS AND MANAGERS, AND RESIDENTS TO UNDERSTAND THE CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES TO MAKE THE NOAH STOCK IN DANE COUNTY MORE SUSTAINABLE. REDUCING ENERGY USE IN DANE COUNTY'S NOAH HOUSING STOCK IS A KEY CLIMATE PLANNING STRATEGY, AND PROVIDING OWNERS AND MANAGERS WITH THE MEANS TO REDUCE OPERATING COSTS IS CRITICAL TO MAINTAINING THE AFFORDABILITY OF THESE UNITS. ENHANCING RESIDENT HEALTH AND COMFORT, REDUCING UTILITY BILLS, AND PROVIDING RESILIENCY FOR THESE HOMES IS A KEY STRATEGY TO PROVIDE A MORE EQUITABLE AND SUSTAINABLE HOUSING MARKET.
BUSINESS OUTREACH - ACCELERATE SUSTAINABILITY WORKSHOP (ASW) IS A ONE YEAR, FULLY-CUSTOMIZABLE PROGRAM FOR BUSINESS AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT WISH TO REDUCE THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT, WHILE SAVING COSTS AND CREATING A HEALTHIER AND MORE ENGAGING WORKPLACE AND COMMUNITY. ASW BUILDS ON THE SUCCESS OF SUSTAIN DANE'S MPOWER PROGRAM FROM TEN YEARS THAT ASSISTED OVER 100 GREEN TEAMS WITHIN A WIDE RANGE OF LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS, HAVE COMPLETED MORE THAN 500 SUSTAINABILITY PROJECTS, RELATED TO ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION, CLEAN ENERGY, SUSTAINABLE FOOD, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND MORE.
SUSTAIN DANE SUMMIT - AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE THAT CONVENES SUSTAINABILITY ACTIVISTS WHO EMBRACE HOLISTIC SUSTAINABILITY AND COMMUNITY WELL-BEING, AND DESIRE TO CREATE POSITIVE CHANGE IN THE GREATER MADISON REGION. APPROXIMATELY 250 INDIVIDUALS CONVENED TO LISTEN, LEARN AND SHARE WITH ONE ANOTHER. THE SUMMIT WAS DEEMED SUCCESSFUL BASED UPON METRICS ACHIEVED AND PARTICIPANT FEEDBACK.
