Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
EVERYDAY BIBLE AND DISCIPLESHIP, KAMUKUYWA KENYABIBLE COLLEGE AND DISCIPLESHIP GROUPSWE CURRENTLY ONLY HAVE ONE PROGRAM AND THAT IS EBD A REGISTERED KENYAN SOCIETY LOCATED IN KAMUKUYWA KENYA (WESTERN KENYA). 2023 WAS OUR YEAR FOR CONSTRUCTING OUR BUILDINGS AND INVESTING IN TRAINING. EBD HAS 2 MAIN OBJECTIVES 1) A FREE BIBLE COLLEGE TAUGHT BY KENYANS. AND 2) AN EFFECTIVE DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAM CALLED BFAM MANAGED AND OVERSEEN BY KENYANS. BY ACCOMPLISHING THESE 2 MAIN MINISTRIES WE ARE EQUIPPING KENYANS TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO KENYANS WHO DO NOT KNOW CHRIST AND TO TEACH AND DISCIPLE THOSE WHO DO KNOW CHRIST. IN 2023 WE INCREASED THE BIBLE SCHOOL FROM 2 CLASSES TO 3 CLASSES AND INCREASED COLLEGE STUDENTS FROM 50 TO 80 STUDENTS. OUR BFAM DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY HAS INCREASED TO APPROXIMATELY 140 BIBLE STUDY GROUPS MEETING WEEKLY WITH ABOUT 700 PEOPLE ATTENDING. TECHNOLOGIESIN ADDITION TO THESE 2 MAIN OBJECTIVES, WE ALSO HAVE PRACTICAL TECHNOLOGIES AND TRAINING TO HELP CHANGE THE LIVES OF POOR RURAL KENYANS (THE AVERAGE WAGE PER HOUSEHOLD IN OUR AREA IS ABOUT $800 PER YEAR). IN ADDITION TO HELPING CHANGE LIVING CONDITIONS THESE TECHNOLOGIES ARE OUR HOPE FOR EBD TO BECOME SELF-SUSTAINING. THESE TECHNOLOGIES HAVE BEEN RESEARCHED AND RE-ENGINEERED TO USE LOCAL MATERIALS IN CONSTRUCTION. EACH TECHNOLOGY COSTS ABOUT $25 ONE TIME PURCHASE WITH NO RECURING COSTS AND VERY LITTLE MAINTENANCE AND LASTING ABOUT 20 YEARS OR MORE. THESE TECHNOLOGIES INCLUDE:1) THE LOVEABLE LOO A NEW, SAFE, AND AFFORDABLE WAY OF RECYCLING HUMAN WASTE AND ELIMINATING PIT LATRINES.2) THE CLAY STOVE A ROCKET STOVE TECHNOLOGY WHICH GREATLY REDUCES SMOKE AND DANGEROUS CO AND REDUCES BY UP TO 40% THE WOOD REQUIRED FOR BURNING. ELIMINATES 3 STONE OPEN FIRES FOR COOKING.3) THE BIO SAND WATER FILTER WHICH WILL RENDER DANGEROUS SURFACE WATER (POND, RIVER, AND SHALLOW BORE HOLE) COMPLETELY SAFE FOR DRINKING AND COOKING. 4) NATURAL MEDICAL CLINIC IN 2023 WE COMPLETED THE TRAINING IN NAIROBI OF 2 EBD MEMBER PRACTITIONERS AND COMMENCED TRAINING FOR 2 OTHERS. WE BUILT THE NATURAL MEDICAL CLINIC AND A NATURAL MEDICINE PROCESSING ROOM. WE ARE REGISTERED IN KENYA, INSPECTED BY KENYAN AUTHORITIES, AND AUTHORIZED TO SELL TO THE COMMUNITY. WE PLANTED 40+ INDIGENOUS HERBS, INSTALLED AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM AND HARVESTED AND PACKAGED AND SOLD IN THE COMMUNITY A VARIETY OF HERBAL MEDICINES. THE RESULTS HAVE BEEN AMAZING, AND THE WORD OF THE NATURAL MEDICAL CLINIC IS SPREADING WIDELY AND THE DEMAND IS GREAT SO WE ARE BEGINNING A SATELLITE CLINIC IN 2024 ABOUT 25 KM FROM OUR LAND. IN 2023 WE HAD APPROXIMATELY 400 CLIENTS. 5) EBD NOBLE WOMEN KUKU (CHICKEN) MINISTRY. WE TRAIN WOMEN TO HAVE A CHICKEN RAISING BUSINESS IN THEIR OWN HOMES. IN 2023 WE WERE ABLE TO INCREASE TO 18 WOMEN. AND WE INSTALLED A NEW SOLAR INCUBATOR AND BROODER TO HELP THE WOMEN HATCH AND RAISE CHICKS.#3-5 THE TECHNOLOGIES ARE ALL DOING WELL AND SALES ARE INCREASING. WE HAVE TRAINED KENYANS TO PERFORM ALL THE WORK ON OUR LAND AT EBD. ALL THE MONEY MADE IS RETURNED TO EBD TO ENHANCE THE TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM. FHG INT HAS PURCHASED ALL NECESSARY EQUIPMENT TO BUILD THESE TECHNOLOGIES.
