TENNESSEE DATA COMMONS IS A NON-PROFIT CORPORATION THAT CREATES AND PROMOTES TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS IN THE PERSONALIZATION AND HUMAN SERVICES ARENA. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS WITH EXPERT ADVISERS ON TECHNOLOGY AND TENNESSEE HUMAN SERVICES; CONNECTS OUTSIDE ACADEMIC AND CORPORATE TECHNOLOGISTS TO LOCAL HUMAN SERVICE EXPERTS; AND WILL DESIGN, PERFORM, EVALUATE, AND REVISE INCREASINGLY SOPHISTICATED HUMAN SERVICE PILOT OR PROTOTYPE PROGRAMS THAT SERVE REAL POPULATIONS. IN ADDITION TO THE COMMUNITY INFORMATICS INFRASTRUCTURE THE ORGANIZATION WILL DEPLOY, TENNESSEE DATA COMMONS WILL HELP ESTABLISH OR PROMOTE FOR-PROFIT STARTUP COMPANIES AS WELL AS RELATIONSHIPS WITH COMMERCIAL PARTNERS WHO CAN BRING JOBS AND INDUSTRY TO TENNESSEE.
