THE ACADEMY FOR TEACHERS BRINGS TOGETHER TEACHERS WITH LUMINARIES, EXPERTS, AND ARTISTS TO CREATE A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY OF INSPIRED EDUCATORS. OUR MISSION IS TO HONOR AND SUPPORT TEACHERS THROUGH WORLD-CLASS LEARNING EXPERIENCES THAT INSPIRE THEM TO CONTINUE CHANGING LIVES, IN THE CLASSROOM AND BEYOND.

Part 3 - Line 4a

FELLOWS EVENTS & GRANTS - THE ACADEMY HAS A NUMBER OF PROGRAMS TO UPLIFT TEACHERS. GRANTS ARE AVAILABLE TO OUR FELLOWS, INCLUDING FULL SCHOLARSHIPS TO THE BREAD LOAF SCHOOL OF ENGLISH AT MIDDLEBURY COLLEGE AND THE DON QUIXOTE FELLOWSHIP. WE ALSO BRING TEACHERS TOGETHER FOR INTELLECTUAL, CULTURAL, AND JUST PLAIN FUN EVENTS.


OTHER PROGRAMS: CHAPBOOKS, SHOW TEACHERS THE LOVE FOR FELLOWS AND TEACHERS TEACHING TEACHERS.


EARLY CAREER FELLOWSHIP - THIS YEAR-LONG FELLOWSHIP ADDRESSES TWO CRITICAL PROBLEMS IN EDUCATION: KEEPING NEW TEACHERS IN THE CLASSROOM AND THE UNDER-REPRESENTATION OF TEACHERS OF COLOR ACROSS THE PROFESSION. THOSE ACCEPTED JOIN AN INTIMATE COHORT FOR A YEAR OF MASTER CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, AND MENTORING. THEY LEARN ALONGSIDE EACH OTHER AND JOIN OUR LARGER COMMUNITY OF PASSIONATE, VETERAN TEACHERS WHO SERVE AS ROLE MODELS.


MASTER CLASSES: LED BY EXPERTS FROM ALL ARENAS, OUR INTIMATE MASTER CLASSES PROVIDE TEACHERS WITH THRILLING NEW IDEAS, BETTER TEACHING STRATEGIES, AND RENEWED EXCITEMENT FOR THEIR WORK WITH STUDENTS. IN A MASTER CLASS, INTIMATE GROUPS OF TEACHERS LEARN FROM A LEADING EXPERT AND FROM EACH OTHER, SHARING THEIR BEST LESSONS, RESOURCES, AND WISDOM ACROSS ALL SUBJECT AREAS.
