THE AMERICA CUP IS A 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT PROMOTES COMPETITIVE AND AMATEUR FLY FISHING AT THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEVELS AND PROVIDES PROGRAMMATIC AND MONETARY SUPPORT TO PROJECT HEALING WATERS FLY FISHING. PROJECT HEALING WATERS FLY FISHING IS DEDICATED TO THE CRUCIAL WORK OF PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL REHABILITATION OF DISABLED, ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY PERSONNEL AND VETERANS THROUGH FLY FISHING OUTINGS AND FLY TYING EDUCATION.

THE ORGANIZATION WAS ABLE TO SERVE 400 PARTICIPANTS FOR OVER 8 DAYS BY HOSTING THE 36TH ANNUAL FIPS MOUCHE WORLD FLY FISHING CHAMPIONSHIP. 25 COUNTRIES TRAVELED TO FISH THE ICONIC TROUT WATERS OF THE AMERICAN WEST. OVER 5 TOWNS, 2 COUNTIES, MULTIPLE ENTITIES, AND PRIVATE LAND OWNERS CAME TOGETHER TO PROVIDE THE RESOURCES IN WHICH TO HOST THE EVENT. THE EVENT PROVIDED OVER 13 MILLION IMPRESSIONS VIA THE INTERNET AND MEDIA OUTLETS. THE MESSAGE OF CLEAN WATER EDUCATION AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT WERE EXPRESSED THROUGH THE EVENT AND AT A CONSERVATION SYMPOSIUM CO-HOSTED WITH COLORADO TROUT UNLIMITED AND SPEAKERS WERE THE DENVER WATER BOARD, EAGLE RIVER WATERSHED COUNCIL, AND SENATOR KERRY DONAVON.
