Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3

LUCKY PAWS RESCUE WAS ABLE TO SAVE 468 DOGS, 36 CATS, AND 10 HORSES FROM EUTHANASIA/SLAUGHTER IN 2016. SPAYING AND NEUTERING MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE: JUST ONE UNALTERED FEMALE DOG AND HER OFFSPRING CAN PRODUCE 67,000 PUPPIES IN ONLY SIX YEARS. IN SEVEN YEARS, ONE FEMALE CAT AND HER OFFSPRING CAN PRODUCE AN INCREDIBLE 370,000 KITTENS! THIS INFORMATION IS PROVIDED VIA PETA. CONSIDERING THAT OVER 1 MILLION ANIMALS DIE IN SHELTERS ANNUALLY, SIMPLY BECAUSE THERE AREN'T HOMES FOR THEM, THAT'S A LOT OF ANIMALS KEPT OUT OF THE POPULATION, TO HOPEFULLY ALLOW ANOTHER TO BE SAVED. LUCKY PAWS DIRECTORS AND VOLUNTEERS ARE VERY PROUD OF OUR PROGRAM AND HOW WE HELP ANIMALS. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, AND ONLY TAKE FROM SHELTERS, HELPING THOSE THAT HAVE RUN OUT OF TIME. WE ADDITIONALLY HELPED WITH LOCAL TRAP, NEUTER, RELEASE IN OUR COMMUNITY, ALTHOUGH BARELY A DENT WAS MADE TOWARD HELPING TO REDUCE THE OVER 40,000 STRAY CATS ON THE STREETS. IN 2016, OUR VETERINARIAN ALSO OPENED A LOW COST VACCINE CLINIC TO HELP LOW INCOME PEOPLE, UNDER OUR NAME. FOR 2017, WE HOPE TO BE RUNNING THE CLINIC.
