THE MISSION TO ADVANCE ALL LOCAL ONEONTA BUSINESSES AND THEIR PROMOTION THROUGH MARKETING, EVENTS, TOURISM, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, AND LEADERSHIP. AS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, THE OBA IS DEDICATED TO CHAMPIONING THE GROWTH AND ENRICHMENT OF BUSINESSES WITHIN THE CITY OF ONEONTA BY PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR SHARING INFORMATION, NETWORKING AND EDUCATION; BY FOSTERING A SENSE OF COMMUNITY AMONG ITS MEMBERS, BY IMPROVING THE BUSINESS CLIMATE FOR ITS MEMBERS BY MONITORING STATE AND LOCAL LEGISLATIVE AND AGENCY ACTIONS WHICH IMPACT ITS MEMBERS WHILE PROVIDING A FORUM FOR DIALOGUE BETWEEN ITS MEMBERS AND OPINION LEADERS, LEGISLATORS, OTHER INTEREST GROUPS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC; AND BY PROMOTING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE CONTRIBUTION OF ITS MEMBERS TO THE ECONOMIC, PHYSICAL AND SOCIAL VITALITY OF THE CITY OF ONEONTA COMMUNITY.
