FOUNDED IN 1976, THE NORTH DAKOTA EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ASSOCIATION (NDEMSA) HAS BEEN DEDICATED TO ITS MISSION OF SUSTAINING AND STRENGTHENING THE EMS SYSTEM IN NORTH DAKOTA. SINCE ITS INCEPTION NDEMSA HAS BEEN COMMITTED TO PROVIDING A VOICE AND RESOURCES TO ALL OF ITS MEMBERS TO ENSURE THAT PRE-HOSPITAL PATIENT CARE IN NORTH DAKOTA REMAINS EXCEPTIONAL. NDEMSA STRIVES TO CONTINUE FULFILLMENT OF ITS MISSION THROUGH:-INITIATING AND SUPPORTING EMS LEGISLATION FOR FUNDING OF TRAINING, EQUIPMENT, AND STAFFING FOR AMBULANCE SERVICES IN NORTH DAKOTA-REPRESENTING MEMBERS ON TASK FORCES, ADVISORY GROUPS, AND BOARDS AT THE LOCAL, REGIONAL, STATE AND NATIONAL LEVELS-ADDRESSING ISSUES THAT AFFECT EMS SERVICES THROUGH SERVICE DIRECTOR MEETINGS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS-ESTABLISHING A COMMUNICATION LINK FOR MEMBERS THROUGH A NEWSLETTER THAT PROVIDES UPDATES ON CURRENT EMS HAPPENINGS-FACILITATING FIVE CONFERENCES ANNUALLY, ACROSS THE STATE, IN ORDER TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO MANY EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES-BRINGING NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED SPEAKERS AND TOPICS TO A STATEWIDE EMS CONFERENCE AND TRADESHOW
