TO PROMOTE PUBLIC EDUCATION, AWARENESS, AND APPRECIATION OF THE HISTORY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA THROUGH THE OPERATION OF A HISTORICAL MUSEUM AND THE MAINTENANCE AND PRESERVATION OF HISTORIC PHOTOS, DOCUMENTS, AND ARTIFACTS.

OPERATION OF A HISTORICAL MUSEUM WITH OVER 21,000 VISITORS DURING THE 2021 FISCAL YEAR. CATALOG, MAINTAIN, PRESERVE AND DISPLAY OVER 10,000 HISTORICAL PHOTOS, DOCUMENTS, AND ARTIFACTS OF THE PALM SPRINGS AREA DIVIDED INTO 56 SEPARATE CATEGORIES. PROVIDED A RESEARCH CENTER TO EXPLORE PALM SPRINGS, ARCHITECTURE, BUILDING HISTORY, FAMILY HISTORY, BIOGRAPHIES, MANUSCRIPTS, BOOKS, AND PERIODICALS. DISTRIBUTED EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND PUBLICATIONS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT. CONDUCTED LECTURES. ORGANIZED AND CONDUCTED WALKING TOURS DURING PALM SPRINGS MODERNISM WEEK HELD IN FEBRUARY 2022. COVID -19 CONTINUED TO IMPACT OUR OPERATION BY LIMITING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF TOUR-GOERS AS WELL AS AVAILABLE DOCENTS. COVID-19 ALSO IMPACTED OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED HISTORICAL WALKING AND BIKE TOURS.
