THE AFRICAN EDUCATION PROGRAMS MISSION IS TO EMPOWER THE YOUTH OF ZAMBIA THROUGH QUALITY EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.

PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE (A) OPERATION OF THE FLAGSHIP LEARNING & LEADERSHIP CENTER IN KAFUE, ZAMBIA WHICH PROVIDES HOLISTIC PROGRAMMING TO OVER 500 CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN KAFUE, ZAMBIA. (B) FACILITATION OF DAILY PROGRAMMING INCLUDING TUTORING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, NUTRITIOUS MEALS (250 PER DAY), SPECIAL EDUCATION, HEALTH AND WELLBEING ACTIVITIES, ENTREPRENEURSHIP SKILLS, AND ART AND CREATIVITY PROGRAMS. NEARLY ALL GIRLS AVOID THE EARLY PREGNANCY AND MARRIAGE PREVALENT IN ZAMBIA. (C) SCHOLARSHIP FUND WHICH AWARDED 250 HIGH SCHOOL AND 32 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO VULNERABLE YOUTH IN KAFUE, ZAMBIA WHO OTHERWISE CANNOT AFFORD TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION. TO DATE, THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND HAS ENABLED 450 YOUTH TO GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL AND OVER 80 TO GRADUATE FROM LEADING ZAMBIAN COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES.
