ORGANIZED SPEECH CONTESTS AMONG PARTICIPATING IOWA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. SPONSORED AN ANNUAL DEBATE TOURNAMENT FOR IOWA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. APPROXIMATELY 48,000 STUDENTS ARE SERVED BY THESE CONTESTS EACH YEAR.
HOSTED A TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION PROGRAM FOR JUDGES OF SPEECH RELATED CONTEST EVENTS.
SPONSORED AND ORGANIZED THE ANNUAL ALL-STATE CONTESTS FOR BOTH GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANTS IN SPEECH RELATED EVENTS.
ORGANIZED AND COORDINATED AN ANNUAL SPEECH COACHES CONVENTION. THE CONVENTION PROVIDES TRAINING AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO TEACHERS AND VOLUNTEER COACHES WHO WORK WITH IOWA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN SPEECH RELATED PROGRAMS.
