AMANDA CARES, INC (D/B/A AMANDA THE PANDA) IS A NON-PROFIT GRIEF SUPPORT AGENCY FOR CHILDREN (AGE 6 AND UP), TEENS AND ADULTS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF IOWA THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES EXTENSIVE, YEAR ROUND SUPPORT TO ANYONE WHO EXPERIENCES THE DEATH OF SOMEONE THEY LOVE THOUGH ACCIDENT, ILLNESS, SUICIDE OR HOMICIDE PROGRAM SERVICES ARE FREE OF CHARGE TO ENSURE ACCESSIBILITY TO BEREAVED MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY REGARDLESS OF INCOME, RACE, RELIGION, TYPE OF DEATH, OR GENDER THE GRIEF SUPPORT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE CAMP AMANDA, SUPPORT GROUPS, FUN DAYS, SCHOOL VISITS, AND HOLIDAY CHEER BOXES

CAMP AMANDA - FOR CHILDREN & ADULTS THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED THE DEATH OF A LOVED ONE, AMANDA THE PANDA & SUPPORT GROUPS - CARING SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILY MEMBERS. IN FISCAL YEAR 2015-16, AMANDA THE PANDA PROVIDED 1,832 CHILDREN, TEENS AND ADULTS WITH GRIEF SUPPORT THROUGH CAMPS, SUPPORT GROUPS, FAMILY NIGHTS, FAMILY FUN DAYS AND OTHER GRIEF-RELATED PROGRAMS AND EVENTS.
