ABANDONED MINE LAND RECLAMATION: SUPPORT EFFORTS TO RECLAIM ABANDONED COAL MINES IN IOWA BY 1. RECEIVING GRANT FUNDS TO HELP PAY RECLAMATION CONSTRUCTION COSTS. 2. EDUCATING THE PUBLIC THROUGH FIELD DAYS AND MEDIA RELEASES AND 2. FINANCIALLY SUPPORT STUDENT SUMMER INTERN PROGRAM WHERE INTERNS INVENTORY AND GATHER DATA ABOUT UNRECLAIMED STRIP MINE SITES.


ALL OTHER PROJECTS TO IMPROVE THE LOCAL COMMUNITY BY WORKING WITH LOCAL CITIZENS TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT PROJECTS RELATED TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, NATURAL RESOURCE CONSERVATION AND RECREATION.
