TO BE ENGAGED IN THE PURSUIT OF BASIC AND CLINICAL ONCOLOGICAL RESEARCH, WHILE PROMOTING OPTIMAL AND COMPREHENSIVE CARE FOR THE ONCOLOGY PATIENTS IN IOWA. THE ORGANIZATION IS FOUNDED ON THE PREMISES THAT HIGH QUALITY CLINICAL CANCER TREATMENT, CANCER CARE DELIVERY RESEARCH, AND CANCER CONTROL RESEARCH CAN BE CONDUCTED IN THE COMMUNITY BY ONCOLOGY PHYSICIANS, ONCOLOGY NURSE SPECIALISTS, CLINICAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATES, AND THAT THE COMMUNITY VENUE PROVIDES THE ULTIMATE PROVING GROUND FOR APPLICABILITY AND GENERALIZABILITY OF NEW CANCER TREATMENTS AND PREVENTION STRATEGIES FOR THE GENERAL POPULATION.
