THE LIONS CLUB IS ORGANIZED TO PERFORM HUMANITARIAN SERVICES, COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES, YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAM, AND MAKE THE COMMUNITY AWARE OF THE LIONS AND LIONS INTERNATIONAL. SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS INCLUDE LIONS MEMBERS CLEANING LOCAL PARKS, CLEANING STATE HIGHWAY DITCHES, SPONSORING FREE SUMMER CONCERTS IN THE PARK, PROVIDING A FREE COMMUNITY MEAL IN DECEMBER, PROVIDING GLASSES TO INDIVIDUALS IN THE COMMUNITY THAT CANNOT AFFORD THEM, YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS, HOSTING A SPEECH TOURNAMENT FOR AREA SCHOOLS, CONTRIBUTING AND HELPING WITH THE STAPLES VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK, AND CONTRIBUTING AND HELPING OUT AT THE STAPLES AREA FOOD SHELF.
