IN 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR, WE SERVED 800 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS THROUGH OUR PROGRAMS AND EVENTS. IN AUGUST, WE BROUGHT TOGETHER NEARLY 300 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND VOLUNTEERS FOR OUR LARGEST ANNUAL EVENT, THE INTERNATIONAL WELCOME PICNIC. THIS EVENT PROVIDES INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS A TANGIBLE WELCOME TO MINNESOTA AND ALSO INTRODUCES THEM TO OTHER INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND VOLUNTEERS. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WE OFFERED A VARIETY OF DAY TRIPS WHICH HUNDREDS OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ATTENDED AND THESE ALLOWED THEM TO SEE AND EXPERIENCE MORE OF MINNESOTA AND ALSO ALLOWED THEM TO BUILD FRIENDSHIPS WITH OTHER INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND HOSPITALITY CENTER VOLUNTEERS. IN TERMS OF RESOURCES, WE DELIVERED FREE FURNITURE IN AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER TO NEWLY ARRIVING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND FREE GROCERIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO MUCH OF OUR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT AUDIENCE.
