DEVELOPMENT, PUBLICATION, AND DISTRIBUTION OF INFORMATIONAL MATERIALS ON TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT AND MUSCLE DISORDERS FOR PATIENTS, PROFESSIONALS AND THE PUBLIC. A TMJ ASSOCIATION INITIATIVE INCLUDES THE CHRONIC PAIN RESEARCH ALLIANCE TO ADVOCATE FOR RESEARCH ON THE MEDICAL CONDITIONS THAT ACCOMPANY TMJ DISORDERS. ANOTHER PROJECT IS THE PATIENT-LED ROUND TABLE. THIS IS A PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPED TO BRING REAL WORLD DATA AND PATIENT EXPERIENCES TOGETHER WITH A BROAD ARRAY OF EXPERTS TO CONDUCT STUDIES AIMED AT IMPROVING OUTCOMES FOR IMPLANT PATIENTS WORLDWIDE. THE ASSOCIATION IS WORKING WITH STAKEHOLDERS ON IMPLEMENTING THE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF MEDICINE STUDY.
