LA CROSSE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY OWNS AND MAINTAINS AN HISTORIC HOUSE MUSEUM, THE HIXON HOUSE, FULLY FURNISHED WITH ORIGINAL ARTIFACTS. EDUCATIONAL TOURS ARE GIVEN TO THE PUBLIC AND TO SCHOOL GROUPS.


LA CROSSE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY MAINTAINS A PUBLIC HISTORY MUSEUM, THE LA CROSSE AREA HERITAGE CENTER, WITH ARTIFACTS AND DISPLAYS THAT TELL THE HISTORY OF LIFE IN THE REGION. TOURS ARE GIVEN TO THE PUBLIC AND TO SCHOOL GROUPS.


LA CROSSE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY MAINTAINS AN ACTIVELY GROWING COLLECTION OF ARTIFACTS RELATED TO LOCAL HISTORY. THE EXPANDING ONLINE VERSION OF THE COLLECTIONS DATABASE CONTAINS PHOTOGRAPHS, RELEVANT TO HISTORY AND BIOGRAPHIC INFORMATION THAT IS READILY AVAILABLE TO STUDETNS, RESEARCHERS AND THE PUBLIC.
