OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE FOLLOWING FACILITIES (INCLUDING RELATED ARTIFACTS ON DISPLAY): THE BERNARD HOSPITAL, THE BERNARD CLINIC, A SEAMSTRESS COTTAGE, A BLACKSMITH SHOP, AN IMPLEMENTS BUILDING, A DOCTOR'S RESIDENCE, A COUNTRY STORE, AND, A ONE ROOM SCHOOL HOUSE (BROWN SCHOOL). IT IS ESTIMATED THAT OVER 300 PERSONS VISITED THE MUSEUM THIS YEAR.
GUEST SPEAKER, RON RADEMACHER, GAVE A PRESENTATION ON MICHIGAN BACK ROADS. IT WAS A VERY INTERESTING PRESENTATION ABOUT THE HISTORY OF MICHIGAN. MR. RADEMACHER FOCUSED ON THE DIFFERENT AREAS OF MICHIGAN AND THE UNIQUE HISTORY FOUND THERE.
THE SOCIETY PARTICIPATED IN THE DELTON FOUNDERS' DAY EVENT, SHARING ARTIFACTS FROM THE MUSEUM. HISTORY BOOKS, FLOWERS ETC. WERE AVAILABLE FOR SALE AT OUR BOOTH. THE SOCIETY ALSO PARTICIPATED IN HOME TOWN CHRISTMAS WHERE AT OUR AREA CHILDREN MAKE BIRD FEEDERS WITH PINE CONES, PEANUT BUTTER AND BIRD SEED. BOOKMARKS, ANGEL ORNAMENTS ETC. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT BETWEEN EACH EVENT OVER 300 PERSONS ATTENDED.
