THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO BRING HISTORY TO LIFE IN THE HARBOR SPRINGS AREA. ITS VISION IS TO ENSURE HARBOR SPRINGS AREA TRADITIONS LIVE ON BY CREATING LASTING MEMORIES.

Part 3 - Line 4a

OPERATE A HIGH-QUALITY LOCAL HISTORY MUSEUM WHICH INCLUDES PERMANENT EXHIBITS, HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES, CHANGING EXHIBITS, AND GRADE-LEVEL APPROPRIATE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. UTILIZE THE MUSEUM FACILITY TO PRESENT ADDITIONAL OUTSTANDING HISTORY-BASED PROGRAMMING INCLUDING MONTHLY LECTURES, ORAL HISTORY WORKSHOPS, AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR ALL AGES. LASTLY, MAINTAIN AND PRESERVE AN ARCHIVE OF PHOTOGRAPHS, DOCUMENTS AND ARTIFACTS PERTAINING TO HARBOR SPRINGS' HISTORY. THESE PROGRAMS WERE ACCOMPLISHED IN PART BY VOLUNTEER SERVICES.
