TO PROMOTE A PROGRAM OF PUBLIC RELATIONS IN ORDER TO BUILD AND MAINTAIN AN ENLIGHTENED PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE PROPER ADMINISTRATION OF PROBATION, PRETRIAL SERVICES, PAROLE AND OTHER CORRECTIONAL SERVICES. TO COLLABORATE AND, WHEN APPROPRIATE, AFFILIATE WITH OTHER ASSOCIATIONS AND GROUPS INTERESTED IN THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF CRIME AND DELINQUENCY. TO CONTINUALLY MAINTAIN AND ADVOCATE HIGH PROFESSIONAL PERSONNEL STANDARDS. TO PROMOTE THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE LAWS GOVERNING CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND CORRECTIONAL PROCESS.
