TO PROVIDE BUSINESS EDUCATION TO APPROXIMATELY 507 MEMBERS WHO ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF PROVIDING HOTEL OR OTHER LIVING ACCOMMODATIONS OR TRANSPORTATION TO THE PUBLIC. CHECK IN MICHIGAN (CIM) PROVIDES ADVOCACY, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES TO MEMBERS, AND HOLDS AN ANNUAL SPRING CONFERENCE. THE 2017 PURE MICHIGAN GOVERNOR'S CONFERENCE ON TOURISM IN LANSING DURING APRIL HAD OVER 900 ATTENDEES. IN 2017, CIM CONTINUED TO SUPPORT AND FIGHT FOR POST LABOR DAY SCHOOLS AND FUNDING FOR PURE MICHIGAN, ALONG WITH OTHER ADVOCACY NEEDS FOR THE INDUSTRY. THE EDUCATIONAL "WOMEN IN LODGING LEADERSHIP" CHAPTERS HAD SUCCESSFUL OFFERINGS OF PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT SEMINARS AND NETWORKING EVENTS OFFERED THROUGHOUT THE STATE.
